Where to eat
There are so many amazing brasseries and restaurants in Paris it’s easy to find somewhere amazing to eat locally. Below our some great ones I have tried but don’t limit yourself to these. Must eats in Paris; escargots, profiterole, epoisses de bourgogne, tagine, frites, the list is endless.
Where to drink
As with restaurants Paris is full of amazing bars that spill out on to the street. Check out the day 2 map for some great drinking spots in Marais, Oberkampf and Chateau d’Eau, all perfect for bar hopping.
What to see & do
One & two day walking routes
A day if not two needs to be spent taking in Paris sights. Starting at the Eiffel Tower, the Rodin museum and Grand Palais are within walking distance and worth spending a few hours to visit. Walk through the Louvre and on to Sainte Chapelle to see the famous stain glass windows. In the evening take the metro to Montmartre to see the Sacré-Cœur and views across Paris. Wander down to Rue de Abbesses to enjoy dinner &/or drinks.
Spend day 2 exploring the trendy area of Marais, walking the historical streets, visiting the Picasso Museum and stopping regularly to eat and drink at the typical brasseries and cafes. Walk to the cities famous cemetery where Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison, to name some are buried. See masterpieces illuminated at Atelier des Lumieres before spending your evening on the lively party street of Rue De Oberkampf.
Carry on your night in the Chateau d’Eau area. Another popular area full of bars and late night brasseries.
